Welcome to CalcuWeight.com
Calcuweight.com is the online tool for calculating the weight of an object according to it's shape, size and the material it is made from. It is useful for costing materials when they are purchased by weight as in the jewellery trade for instance. It is useful to engineers that wish to understand the weight of a component used within a design. It is useful for anybody that needs to transport/move an object and be aware of the weight involved.

As well as calculating weight, CalcuWeight© will also show the volume of material used within an object. This can be used for understanding the amount of water needed in an aquarium or a swimming pool. It can help you judge the amount of concrete needed to fill a ditch.

The mixture calculator found on the 'Select Material' tab can help you understand the density of a substance made from a mixture of up to 4 different materials and then use this density to calculate the weight of an object made from this mix.

The relative weight calculator found on the 'Relative' tab will display the weight of an object if made from a different material than presently used.

To start using CalcuWeight choose a material or density by clicking the 'Select Material' tab. Once a density has been selected, choose a tab to calculate the weight of an object according to it's shape. Type values in to all white boxes within the selected tab to complete the calculation. The material can be changed at any time and the results will be instantly reflected. To change the units (mm/cm) select the 'Settings' tab.

There is a broad range of materials represented within CalcuWeight but not all can be included. If there is a particular material that you think deserves inclusion then please contact us and provide the material name along with the related density in grams/cm3, we can not guarantee inclusion but will give serious consideration. Please note that we can not include materials that are specific only to one supplier/manufacturer, please consider our portable version and custom material service. In any case CalcuWeight allows for a density to be entered directly to be used in all calculations.

For a small charge CalcuWeight is available as a portable version which can be used in any browser offline and can be run directly from your hard drive or a portable device such as a USB key and does not require installation. For an extra charge we can integrate custom materials and their relative densities permanently in to the program. Please click here for full details.

We invite enquiries for advertising on this site at monthly rates with no minimum contract. Please select the 'Advertising' tab for full details.

On our 'Settings' tab is a complete list of all the materials currently included within Calcuweight. If you find any errors or can suggest common materials to be included please send details via our contact page.

Thank you for visiting CalcuWeight.com, we hope you find this site useful and we will be happy to read your comments.
